Why are men so upset about "Think Like A Man"?

Why are the men so upset about this movie/book???

Really...they are NOT giving away secrets!! LOL! This is really some old school advice. Better known as common sense. Unfortunately, everyone does not have this. When you have babies having babies, sometimes that good advice does not get passed along.

Is it wrong if a women comes out of the theater thinking...
  • I need to develop some standards for myself and require some respect
  • I don't need to sleep with every Tom, DICK, and Harry...maybe they should wait for my loving
  • Maybe just maybe the man of my dreams does not have to be 6'4", tall, dark, and handsome oh wait...that's my boo LOL
So you see, there really is some sound advice. No giving away the game, not man bashing...just arming women with some COMMON SENSE!!

WHY Y'ALL MAD??? LOL

Think Like A Man came in #1 in the country. Making more than $33 Million this opening weekend. Can we not just at least be excited about that?

And outside of it all of that, this was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. I know about a month ago I posted Who's Funny?? I just was NOT on the Kevin Hart bandwagon. Well how about I'm ready to catch a ride??? LOL He really did make this movie. I feel like I need to see it again just so I can hear every bit of his foolishness! SMH

Anyway, GO SEE THE MOVIE!! Don't let the title fool ya!!

Who's Funny???

So recently, we were chilling with some friends and they mentioned how they were excited that Kevin Hart would be touring in GA this summer.

NO...NOT Atlanta, but Columbus, Macon, Savannah. And they are considering the drive to see him.

REALLY? I was shocked. I wouldn't even halfway consider that drive. But then I realized, he's just not that funny to me. And when I checked with hubby...NOPE...he wouldn't do it either. that's why I married him LOL *wink*

So then they asked...well who's funnier? Who's the funniest comedian out?

Hmmm...good question.

They know I sometimes listen to Steve Harvey in the mornings. So they asked do I think he's the funniest guy out??

NOPE...I mean don't get me wrong. I really do chuckle at Steve and I have had some great stomach-hurting-gotta-get-up-to-breathe moments, but not sure if he's the BEST out right now. But that Kings of Comedy video will still have me crying laughing.

So maybe Cedric the Entertainer?? Fo and Five *fingers pointing* LOL But is he even out right now??

I do know I haven't had any stomach-hurting moments with Kevin. As a matter of fact, the only time I've known the hubs to fall asleep on a movie was when we were watching Kevin Hart's "I'm A Grown Little Man".

So it left me stumped? Who is the funniest guy out? Is it Kevin???

UPDATE: How could I forget my FAVVVVVVVVVVVV Marty Mar (Martin Lawrence)!!! Whew we used to watch You So Crazy almost every night my freshman year in college! ;o) And hands down Martin was the funniest sitcom to me...EVER!! I hope he can get it together and come back out.

What y'all think?

I heart New Edition

I know people watched Oprah and her interview with the Houstons. It saddens me about the passing of Whitney Houston. I can't even TRY to blog about it! So I'm trying to think of positive things. And what might that be???

SEEING BOBBY BROWN!! I'm a huge New Edition fan and an even bigger Bobby Brown fan. I'm so excited about the upcoming NE concert!!! I MUST get a shirt to wear. LOL MUST...

Viola Davis looks AMAZING

Viola Davis recently did an interview for the LA TIMES and revamped her look! And she looks AMAZING!! I personally love this look on her and would really love for her to let the wig go!!!

Here is some of what she said to the LA Times..

Doing more with less—that’s quintessential Davis. In The Help, Davis breathed three dimensions into circumspect housemaid Aibileen Clark, a role that required the actress to deadpan and repress her way through the Jim Crow–era South. It was an understated performance that has managed to garner as much awards-season buzz as your more gaily painted characters, à la Rooney and Michelle. The Hollywood Foreign Press and Screen Actors Guild honored her in The Help with best-performance nominations, and as we close this issue, Davis has just locked an Oscar nom. And it’s not hard to see why.

Rewatch the scene where Emma Stone says she wants her input about “what it’s like to work as a maid.” It takes less than two seconds—no words spoken, just eyes and shoulders—to see Aibileen’s day has just gone from bad to Mississippi awful. “She can rip your soul out with a look,” says costar Octavia Spencer.

Davis prefers characters like that: underrated, slow burners, still waters that run deep. “Human life is about a culmination of moments, and 99 percent of those are quiet but powerful,” she insists. “I am always interested and intrigued with watching that.” She likes to cite an acting tip credited to David Mamet: “If you’re looking at an actor onstage with a cat, who are you going to look at, the actor or the cat? The cat, because the cat is just being a cat.”

So what do you think of the look??
